A flax egg is a vegan and allergy-free egg substitute used to replace chicken eggs in baking recipes.  This simple process will have you whipping up vegan goodies in no time!

  • Whisk the flax and water together and then set aside to thicken for 10-15 minutes.   
  • Once the mixture has thickened, feels gelatinous and has a texture similar to that of a chicken egg, it is ready to be used in your favorite baking recipe.


*If you're allergic to flax you can substitute 1 tablespoon of ground chia seeds for the flax.  This will give your baked goods a darker color, but will still be delicious!
