Ingredients needed to make sriracha lime chickpeas with corresponding labels: chickpeas, sriracha, olive oil, lime, sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
    • Chickpeas, AKA garbanzo beans, are the vessel for the delicious sriracha lime coating.
    • Sriracha gives all the flavor! Depending on how spicy you want your roasted chickpeas, you can add a lot or a little.
    • Lime Juice adds a tangy note, balancing and complementing the heat from the sriracha.
    • Olive Oil helps coat the chickpeas in the sriracha lime dressing and gives them an extra crispy exterior.
    • Sea Salt, Black Pepper, and Garlic Powder are the final touches to round out the flavor of these roasted chickpeas.

Please refer to the recipe card below for the full list of ingredients and detailed instructions.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to roasting the best sriracha lime chickpeas in the oven:

Step by step guide to roasting chickpeas. 1. Wash chickpeas. 2. Pat chickpeas dry with a clean dish towel. 3. Make sriracha lime coating. 4. Add sriracha lime coating to the chickpeas. 5. Spread chickpeas in an even layer on a parchment sheet. 6. Roast until crispy and golden brown.
    1. Drain and rinse 2 cans of chickpeas.
    2. Pat chickpeas with a clean dish towel until they are completely dry. Place chickpeas in a large bowl.
    3. Whisk together sriracha sauce, lime juice, olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl for a minute or two until the dressing is emulsified.
    4. Pour the emulsified sriracha lime dressing over the chickpeas and toss to coat them thoroughly.
    5. Place the chickpeas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread them into an even layer.
    6. Bake at 400°F for 25 to 30 minutes until they have reached your desired level of crispiness.

    Air Fryer Tip

Lower the temperature to 370°F and air fry for 12 to 16 minutes.

For maximum crispiness, arrange the chickpeas in a single layer within the air fryer basket (cook in 2 batches or half the recipe).

    Ways to Serve

Sriracha lime chickpeas are a delicious snack on their own, but they can quickly transform a meal. Here are some ideas:

    • Salad Topping - Use sriracha chickpeas for crunch in salads, complemented by homemade vegan ranch dressing.
    • Wraps - Make chickpea lettuce wraps or use homemade vegan flour tortillas.
    • Rice Bowl - Elevate rice or quinoa bowls with extra crunch and a hit of spice.
    • Trail Mix - Create a high-protein snack with sriracha lime roasted chickpeas, popped quinoa, pretzels, and pepitas.
    • Tacos - Spice up tacos using chickpea flour tortillas with sriracha chickpeas.
    • Pizza Topping - Top vegan pizza with crunchy chickpeas and a drizzle vegan avocado ranch.

    Storage

Roasted chickpeas are best when eaten immediately, but if stored and reheated properly, they can still be crispy and delicious!

Store sriracha lime chickpeas in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.

Once you’re ready to enjoy them again, place the chickpeas in an air fryer or oven at 400°F for 3 to 5 minutes to crisp them up again.
